Katepal PrimeBase is a high-performance roofing underlay designed to provide a reliable secondary weatherproof barrier beneath bitumen roofing shingles. Manufactured for strength, durability, and ease of installation, it forms an essential part of the Katepal roofing system, helping to protect the roof structure from wind-driven rain, moisture, and condensation.

The membrane is coated with fine sand on both the upper and lower surfaces, providing a durable, slip-resistant finish that is easy to handle during installation. Integrated 80 mm self-adhesive strips are positioned along opposite edges of the membrane—one on the top surface and the other on the underside—protected by removable plastic film. These adhesive overlaps create secure, weather-resistant joints that help prevent water ingress while simplifying installation.

Suitable for use beneath all Katepal roofing shingles, PrimeBase provides a stable, dependable base layer that enhances the performance and longevity of the complete roofing system. Its flexible construction allows for easy installation across a wide range of pitched roofs while maintaining excellent dimensional stability.
